Work With Us

Building the industry to meet the talent.

Building Professionals in Sports Broadcasting (BPSB) builds the pathways, partnerships and accountability that a genuinely representative sports media industry depends on. We serve Black, Global Majority and underserved communities, and we are not a diversity initiative. We are workforce infrastructure: a trusted, vetted community of talent the industry struggles to reach, the data that proves why it matters, and the programmes that turn potential into careers.

Roughly 43% of Premier League players are Black. Just 3% of off-screen TV roles, and 2.6% of senior roles, are held by Black professionals. Sports broadcasting still has no dedicated line in national diversity monitoring. That is the gap we exist to close, and it is not one we can close alone.

Whoever you are, there is a way to build this with us.

Call for Board Directors

Help build the board behind BPSB

Building Our Founding Board

Who We Are

BPSB is a workforce infrastructure organisation. We build the pathways into sports broadcasting, live production and branded content for Black, Global Majority and underserved talent, and we are now building our founding board.

A Founding Board

This is a founding board. You will help set the standards, not inherit them: shaping our governance, holding us accountable, and building the partnerships and income that let us scale.

The Gap We Exist to Close

43% of Premier League players are Black. 2.7% of the TV workforce behind the camera is Black.

Expertise We Are Looking For

We want a board that brings a mix of the following:

  • Finance
  • Governance and legal
  • Policy and public affairs
  • Income and partnerships
  • Data and impact
  • Industry insight

You do not need to have sat on a board before. We care more about what you can build with us than the titles you already hold.

Partner with us

For broadcasters, production companies, brands, agencies and facilities.

Partnership with BPSB is a trade of value, not a favour. You gain direct access to a community of Black and underserved talent the rest of the industry struggles to reach, a share in a story your audiences and your people want you associated with, and a real answer to the pipeline problem behind your own hiring. In return, you help us place talent, run programmes, and hold the sector to account.

We work with partners on talent pipelines, live production placements, masterclasses, sponsored programme cohorts, and event access. If you have a talent gap, a diversity commitment you want to make real, or an event where our community belongs, start a conversation with us.

Fund our work

For funders, grant bodies and sponsors.

We are growing from a proven idea into a national organisation, and the priority now is capacity: dedicated staff to deliver programming and outreach at scale, more delegate places, and expansion into the Leeds City Region and Manchester so access reaches beyond London and across the country.

Our first delegation to Cannes Lions in 2025 proved the model: every delegate made significant new industry contacts, three in four connected with senior leaders, and the cohort rated the experience 4.3 out of 5. Funding turns that proof of concept into lasting infrastructure. If you back workforce diversity, regional creative economies, or youth pathways into the screen industries, we would welcome a conversation.

Make a one-off gift.

Every contribution goes directly into getting talent into rooms they have been shut out of. As a guide: £30 covers a delegate's local travel at an industry event, and £250 helps fund hands-on skills training for an emerging creative.

Give monthly.

A small regular gift lets us plan programmes with confidence rather than scraping together funds event by event.

Give your time or open a door

Mentor.

Experienced professionals can join our Ignite Mentoring Programme and guide emerging talent through the moves that turn a foot in the door into a career.

Offer a placement, shadowing day or masterclass.

Real production experience is what our community needs most.

Make an introduction.

If you know a decision-maker at a broadcaster, agency or sports brand who should know our work, connect us.

Advocate

Make a diversity data line for sports.

Back our call for "sports" to become a dedicated reporting line in national diversity data. Without it, the real barriers and the real progress for Black professionals in sports media stay invisible. You can raise that argument in the rooms we are not yet in. It costs nothing and it carries real weight.

Let's build it together
